This amazing feat set a wheel driven Land Speed Record that has yet to be beaten in the Goldenrod's engine class.
Today, the same commitment to excellence that inspired the Goldenrod continues at Summers Brothers, Inc. In every field, there are names that stand for unsurpassed quality: Rolls-Royce in motor cars. DeBeers in diamonds. And Summers Brothers in drivetrain and engine components.
Every Summers Brothers product is designed, machined, and inspected with painstaking attention to detail. Through their daily contact with racers, engine builders, and chassis constructors, Summers Brothers is continually developing stronger and more reliable racing components. At Summers Brothers, we know that racing makes special demands. When a racer has a unique problem, we are eager to listen -and willing to work out a solution. Many of the products in this catalog are the result of this interaction. When high-traction tires overtaxed stock axles, Summers Brothers developed forged steel axles. Fragile differentials gave way to rugged, lightweight Summers Brothers spools. Precision Summers Brothers camshaft gear drives were developed to replace unreliable timing chains. This tradition of innovation continues today at Summers Brothers, Inc.
In racing, change is constant. That is why Summers Brothers is dedicated to continually updating and improving our products, and maintaining the same standard of excellence that created the Goldenrod. For Summers Brothers, creating the finest racing products in the world is a way of life
